IN 2019, ME-TECH WILL TAKE PLACE IN ABU DHABI, FOR THE FIRST TIME, WITH ADNOC AS A STRATEGIC PARTNER, DURING 26-28 FEBRUARY
In 2019, ME-TECH will take place in Abu Dhabi, for the first time, with ADNOC as a strategic partner. ADNOC Group will play a pivotal role in the event and will give several presentations, which will be extremely valuable for participants
Since ME-TECH was launched by Euro Petroleum Consultants (EPC) in February 2011, the oil and gas industry, in particular, and the economy, in general, has experienced many changes.
In 2014, oil prices slumped to their lowest level in many years and the reverberations were felt by everyone in the industry – producers, vendors and especially service providers involved in the provision of training and conferences. However, throughout these periods of uncertainty, the ME-TECH conference has managed to retain its high standard, size and loyal following – never veering from its objective of presenting the latest technology developments in order to help refiners and petrochemical companies keep up-to-date with the latest technology developments that can assist them to remain competitive and produce higher quality products.
Tamimah Dhaher, general manager of EPC Middle East, the organiser of the ME-TECH series, explained how the organisation has managed to achieve this. “Our key differentiator is that EPC is primarily a technical consultancy. Since our establishment in London in 1996, we have acted as a trusted advisor to many refiners and petrochemical producers, with a team of engineers and specialists providing services such as independent analysis of project economics, evaluation and recommendation of licensors, analysis of selected technologies and supervision of basic and detailed engineering, to name a few. This puts us in the enviable position of being a peer to our clients rather than ‘just’ an event organiser.”
“We have always said that ME-TECH is a conference designed by chemical engineers for chemical engineers. We work hard to drive the quality of our events in terms of knowledge sharing and information exchange, and to ensure a positive ROI for our clients by creating a platform for technology companies and other service providers to engage meaningfully with their target audience.”
It is this dedication that has given Euro Petroleum Consultants a reputation amongst end-users as a leading conference provider and why companies such as KNPC and KIPIC have partnered with them to organise their own events.
Tamimah added: “Yes, we are very lucky and proud of the faith that our partners in Kuwait have placed in us and we shall be organising for KNPC and KIPIC the 2nd international symposium on residue hydrotreating (Residhydrotreat 2019). Watch this space for more exciting news in store for 2019!”
Presentations will also be made by major regional operators, including Saudi Aramco, SABIC, KNPC, KIPIC, Duqm Refinery and Bapco. Honeywell UOP and Wood will be hosting pre-conference seminars for end-users, on 26 February and this will be followed by the two-day ME-TECH forum during 27-28 February. The event will be held at St Regis Resort on Saadiyat Island, Abu Dhabi, UAE.
