Mott Macdonald
Mott Macdonald is a global engineering management and development consultancy, and it has been operating in the Middle East region for over 50 years. It has been contributing vast skills and experience to projects across the region and winning recognition for its work.
The company along with a slew of other firms is providing consultancy services on the Red Sea Project’s 1.5 million square metre coastal village. Construction work on the Coastal Village are underway, with the construction of ten linear residential apartment buildings, the TRSDC office, and the firm’s first three-star management hotel progressing on schedule and currently in the commissioning phase.
Mott Macdonald has been involved in a diverse range of projects in the region, such as carbon footprint management for the Abu Dhabi Sewerage Services Company; public-private partnership consultancy for the Abu Dhabi Investment Office, and sustainable transport planning for the Red Sea project in Saudi Arabia, in addition to the Coastal Village.
The consultancy also works with governments throughout the region to support project finance and smart cities initiatives, including efforts to help tackle climate change and carbon emission challenges.
The company has also been involved in Gulf Refining Company’s construction and commissioning of a new tanker berth at Jebel Ali Free Zone for loading and unloading product carriers. Sizes range from 10,000 to 85,000 DWT tankers.
It is also involved in providing integrated engineering and project management services across the project lifecycle-from concept and design, to construction and operations, to decommissioning and life extensions.
Mott Macdonald Group was formed in 1989 with the merger of Mott, Hay & Anderson and Sir M Macdoland & Partners.
