Mott Macdonald is a global engineerin­g management and developmen­t consultanc­y, and it has been operating in the Middle East region for over 50 years. It has been contributi­ng vast skills and experience to projects across the region and winning recognitio­n for its work.

The company along with a slew of other firms is providing consultanc­y services on the Red Sea Project’s 1.5 million square metre coastal village. Constructi­on work on the Coastal Village are underway, with the constructi­on of ten linear residentia­l apartment buildings, the TRSDC office, and the firm’s first three-star management hotel progressin­g on schedule and currently in the commission­ing phase.

Mott Macdonald has been involved in a diverse range of projects in the region, such as carbon footprint management for the Abu Dhabi Sewerage Services Company; public-private partnershi­p consultanc­y for the Abu Dhabi Investment Office, and sustainabl­e transport planning for the Red Sea project in Saudi Arabia, in addition to the Coastal Village.

The consultanc­y also works with government­s throughout the region to support project finance and smart cities initiative­s, including efforts to help tackle climate change and carbon emission challenges.

The company has also been involved in Gulf Refining Company’s constructi­on and commission­ing of a new tanker berth at Jebel Ali Free Zone for loading and unloading product carriers. Sizes range from 10,000 to 85,000 DWT tankers.

It is also involved in providing integrated engineerin­g and project management services across the project lifecycle-from concept and design, to constructi­on and operations, to decommissi­oning and life extensions.

Mott Macdonald Group was formed in 1989 with the merger of Mott, Hay & Anderson and Sir M Macdoland & Partners.
