There’s some­thing in­her­ently lux­u­ri­ous about a place that takes great pride in its ap­pear­ance. that it would be the car of choice for many of its dis­cern­ing Mid­dle East cus­tomers who ap­pre­ci­ate the ul­ti­mate re­fine­ment, as well as a thrilling, spir­ited drive. It is a car de­signed to turn heads as ef­fort­lessly as it turns cor­ners.

The sharp, so­phis­ti­cated sil­hou­ette of the Fly­ing Spur hints at both the ex­hil­a­rat­ing, all-wheel drive power that lies be­neath the bon­net and the un­ri­valled lux­ury within. The car’s dark sap­phire blue ex­te­rior, to­gether with its dy­namic aes­thetic and suite of strik­ing ex­te­rior and in­te­rior fea­tures have been cre­ated to re­flect the ul­ti­mate ex­pres­sion of the exquisite crafts­man­ship and de­sign that char­ac­terises the Fly­ing Spur range.

Sim­i­larly the crafts­man­ship in­volved in mak­ing the Club’s car­pets, chan­de­liers and fur­ni­ture is un­par­al­leled, as Roger Mar­ris, Chief Ex­ec­u­tive of The Ritz Club ex­plains, “The dé­cor of the casino it­self is as lovely as on the day it first opened. We spend a lot of time main­tain­ing all of the rooms to a very high stan­dard.

Each room is in­di­vid­u­ally de­signed and im­pec­ca­bly fur­nished. We are a very dis­creet and com­fort­able club, but very lux­u­ri­ous. We un­der­stand the com­fort and the sur­round­ings that our top VIP cus­tomers, in­clud­ing our much val­ued mem­bers from the Mid­dle East, want to be in and we want to give them that en­vi­ron­ment.”

With mir­rored walls and op­u­lent flo­ral ar­range­ments, the high vaulted ceil­ings of the in­ti­mate award-win­ning restau­rant, be­lie the fact that this was once the cel­lar of The Ritz Ho­tel. With a warm and wel­com­ing at­mos­phere, the restau­rant staff are al­ways on hand to hap­pily ex­plain how the dishes are best served and ac­com­pa­nied, in­clud­ing some

of the world’s finest col­lec­tion of wines.

Due to the cos­mopoli­tan na­ture of the mem­ber­ship base at The Ritz Club, the restau­rant of­fers a va­ri­ety of au­then­tic menus re­flect­ing the life­style, tastes and cul­ture of its guests – Le­banese, Indian, Thai, Chi­nese and of course a mod­ern clas­si­cal menu - all high­light­ing the in­tense flavours and ex­cit­ing tex­tures of th­ese won­der­ful eclec­tic themes.

When Ex­ec­u­tive Chef, Stephen Smith joined The Ritz Club in 2015, he set about learn­ing the craft of Mid­dle East cui­sine and spent time work­ing with Hamid, the Club’s tal­ented des­ig­nated Ara­bic chef, who taught him all about the alchemy of spices and the im­por­tance of get­ting ev­ery note just right so that the flavours burst in your mouth.

Gen­uine hos­pi­tal­ity is at the heart of the Mid­dle Eastern cul­ture and it is on this that The Ritz Club also thrives. The Mid­dle East holds a very spe­cial and sig­nif­i­cant place in the his­tory and her­itage of The Ritz Club and the Club has staged many won­der­ful sport­ing events over the years, in­clud­ing polo, horse rac­ing and golf in the re­gion.

Since his ar­rival at the Club six years ago Roger has suc­cess­fully over­seen a sub­stan­tial pe­riod of change and his vi­sion has in­spired sub­stan­tial in­no­va­tion how­ever, he re­mains res­o­lutely com­mit­ted to pro­vid­ing a first class ser­vice to Mid­dle East mem­bers who have been loyal sup­port­ers of the Club for many years.

Look­ing ahead, Roger Mar­ris will con­tinue this very per­sonal ap­proach and over the com­ing months it will be his pri­or­ity to travel to the re­gion in or­der to meet mem­bers and re­ceive their much val­ued com­ments and feedback.

“The Ritz Club has al­ways been a pop­u­lar des­ti­na­tion for cus­tomers from the Mid­dle East and whilst many other May­fair clubs may have changed their fo­cus to­wards the Far East, The Ritz Club’s ap­proach re­mains very much fo­cused on tak­ing care of its much­val­ued mem­bers and guests from all over the Mid­dle East re­gion,” he says. For Mid­dle East mem­bers and their guests vis­it­ing The Ritz Club, who en­joy a fine cigar, The Cigar Shop & Tast­ing Room is a lux­u­ri­ously in­te­rior de­signed venue that pro­vides a per­fect place in which to un­wind and re­lax. With a su­perb floor-to­ceil­ing hu­mi­dor that houses a col­lec­tion of ex­cep­tional cigars, it is per­haps the most ex­clu­sive cigar shop in Lon­don.

The Club’s cigar som­me­lier is al­ways on hand for ad­vice, and all the wait­ers are ex­perts in cut­ting, light­ing and serv­ing th­ese ex­cep­tion­ally fine cigars. The Cigar shop and Tast­ing Room is open 24 hours a day for the ex­clu­sive use of mem­bers and their guests.
