The Mudder of all challenges
A new generation of Middle Eastern ‘Legionnaires’ were created this weekend as ’Mudder Nation’ came together as a team to conquer their fears and complete the latest edition of du Tough Mudder in Dubai.
Taking place at Hamdan Sports Complex, competitors joined together in a life-changing adventure and faced the ultimate challenge of strength, stamina and mental grit.
With a line-up including six new obstacles, the 2018 edition of du Tough Mudder proved to be the most successful yet with ‘Mudders’ travelling from across the Middle East and further afield to participate. With over 40 tonnes of ice, grade-A mud and 40,000 volts, the two-day event included a 10k course with returning obstacles such as Everest 2.0, The BlockNess Monster and Birth Canal.
The event also welcomed back du Mini Mudder, which featured a brand-new 1.5k course designed specifically for adventure-seeking kids aged 7-13.
Christian Moufarrej, event direcafter tor for du Tough Mudder said: “This year’s edition of du Tough Mudder was undoubtedly the best yet.
“It was great to see so many participants from our pre-event training sessions with Warehouse Gym conquer our epic obstacles today, after using the programme during Dubai Fitness Challenge to help them prepare to get start-line ready.
“The Tough Mudder brand has continued to grow over the past three years and the higher number of participants this year and feedback from our ‘Mudders’ shows how popular the event has become.”
Tough stuff: The adventure required physical and mental fortitude.
