The glamour and excitement of round-the-clock racing returns to the floodlights of Yas Marina Circuit later this month with the Gulf 12-Hours.
The region’s toughest track race returns for its eighth edition and will see the largest entry field to date, with 31 cars from multiple teams lining up on the grid over two rounds of racing, each lasting six hours, on December 15.
The Circuit will host practice and qualifying rounds for the Gulf 12-Hours on Friday, December 14, with the big race taking place the following day from 9am.
The Gulf 12-Hours will this year welcome the competitive debuts of new 2019-specification cars, including the new McLaren 720S GT3 as well as the Audi R8 LMS ‘Evo’.
With both daylight and floodlit races, the popular race will also feature some of the most luxurious GT3 cars, including the AMG Mercedes, Maserati MC, Lamborghini Huracan, Ferrari 488 and Aston Martin Vantage, tackling the iconic Yas Marina Circuit.
Back once again to thrill fans of F1’s glorious history, a host of classic Formula One cars will also take to the track in the Gulf Historic series – which is sure to prove just as popular with all members of the family.
Motorsport enthusiasts will also enjoy a series of different car parades throughout the weekend as well as exotic car displays around the Paddock.
The Gulf 12-Hours is not the only motorsport action taking place over the weekend of December 14 and 15. The two days will also witness round three of the thrilling TRD 86 Cup.
These races, which feature some of the best amateur drivers, offer spectators the chance to see local racers compete against each other.
While the drama unfolds on the track, race fans on Friday will be able to indulge in a three-hour brunch at the Paddock Suite Belgian Café.
Guests can enjoy a three-hour feast between 1pm and 5pm.
With prices starting from Dh295 for food and soft drinks and Dh395 for food, hops and grapes, this is great way to celebrate the party season with friends and family and experience race day at the Yas Marina Circuit.
For Saturday’s race-goers, the Belgian Café in the Paddock Club will offer guests a range of à la carte dining, with various food truck options set up in the Paddock selling various street food snacks.
Guests will also be able to enjoy unrestricted views of the cars as well as a great menu of festive Belgian favourites.
