The glam­our and ex­cite­ment of round-the-clock rac­ing re­turns to the flood­lights of Yas Ma­rina Cir­cuit later this month with the Gulf 12-Hours.

The re­gion’s tough­est track race re­turns for its eighth edi­tion and will see the largest en­try field to date, with 31 cars from mul­ti­ple teams lin­ing up on the grid over two rounds of rac­ing, each last­ing six hours, on De­cem­ber 15.

The Cir­cuit will host prac­tice and qual­i­fy­ing rounds for the Gulf 12-Hours on Fri­day, De­cem­ber 14, with the big race tak­ing place the fol­low­ing day from 9am.

The Gulf 12-Hours will this year wel­come the com­pet­i­tive de­buts of new 2019-spec­i­fi­ca­tion cars, in­clud­ing the new McLaren 720S GT3 as well as the Audi R8 LMS ‘Evo’.

With both day­light and flood­lit races, the pop­u­lar race will also fea­ture some of the most lux­u­ri­ous GT3 cars, in­clud­ing the AMG Mercedes, Maserati MC, Lam­borgh­ini Hu­ra­can, Fer­rari 488 and As­ton Mar­tin Van­tage, tack­ling the iconic Yas Ma­rina Cir­cuit.

Back once again to thrill fans of F1’s glo­ri­ous his­tory, a host of clas­sic For­mula One cars will also take to the track in the Gulf His­toric se­ries – which is sure to prove just as pop­u­lar with all members of the fam­ily.

Mo­tor­sport en­thu­si­asts will also enjoy a se­ries of dif­fer­ent car pa­rades through­out the week­end as well as ex­otic car dis­plays around the Pad­dock.

The Gulf 12-Hours is not the only mo­tor­sport ac­tion tak­ing place over the week­end of De­cem­ber 14 and 15. The two days will also wit­ness round three of the thrilling TRD 86 Cup.

These races, which fea­ture some of the best am­a­teur driv­ers, of­fer spec­ta­tors the chance to see lo­cal rac­ers compete against each other.

While the drama un­folds on the track, race fans on Fri­day will be able to in­dulge in a three-hour brunch at the Pad­dock Suite Bel­gian Café.

Guests can enjoy a three-hour feast be­tween 1pm and 5pm.

With prices start­ing from Dh295 for food and soft drinks and Dh395 for food, hops and grapes, this is great way to cel­e­brate the party sea­son with friends and fam­ily and ex­pe­ri­ence race day at the Yas Ma­rina Cir­cuit.

For Satur­day’s race-go­ers, the Bel­gian Café in the Pad­dock Club will of­fer guests a range of à la carte din­ing, with var­i­ous food truck op­tions set up in the Pad­dock sell­ing var­i­ous street food snacks.

Guests will also be able to enjoy un­re­stricted views of the cars as well as a great menu of fes­tive Bel­gian favourites.
