WHAT IS OLED?
OLED is expensive… but there’s a reason for that. The ‘O’ stands for ‘organic’, and each individual OLED pixel emits its own light when you pass an electrical current through it. LCDs require a light source behind them in order to shine – and even if you divide that backlight into portions, it’ll never be as precise. Plus, OLED pixels can be turned off individually, which is what gives you those deep blacks right next to dazzling bright colours.
