Video games are the perfect antidote to a sweltering Middle East summer.
And while normally we’d spend a good portion of this issue telling you about what games you should be spending your time cloistered away indoors indulging on, we’ve instead decided to take a trip down memory lane and give you a history lesson on the greatest video game consoles of all time. Flip to p28 to find out which pocket portable was the first game system to be played in space and what happened to 10,000 copies of the ET game for the Atari 2600. Oh, and it’s not all just about looking backwards, either. We spent some quality time this month with Microsoft’s hotly anticipated Xbox One X (you probably noticed it looking all sleek and awesome on the cover) and can confirm that the future of video gaming looks very bright indeed.
