In­ter­na­tional Wa­ter­color So­ci­ety UAE cel­e­brates 3rd an­niver­sary

The 3rd an­niver­sary of In­ter­na­tional Wa­ter­color So­ci­ety UAE 2018 was of­fi­cially in­au­gu­rated by Yasser Al Ger­gawi, the Di­rec­tor of Pro­gram and Part­ner­ship from Min­istry of Tol­er­ance; Khail Ab­dul Wahid, a well-known per­son­al­ity in the field of Vis­ual Arts and Mrin­may C Se­bas­tian, Coun­try Head of In­ter­na­tional Wa­ter­color So­ci­ety UAE and the Gallery Man­ager of The Car­toon Art Gallery.

High­lights of the day were Still Life Paint­ing by artist Maria Nova, fol­lowed by Demon­stra­tion of Masters by Maria Nova, Ki­ran Ku­mar, Anastasiia Shali and Ra­jesh Babu.

Dur­ing the event, the win­ners of the na­tional con­test were also awarded. In­ter­na­tional Wa­ter­color So­ci­ety — IWS was founded by Ata­nur Do­gan in 2012. Now, they can call it a largest art com­mu­nity of the world hav­ing more than 90 branches around the world.

The UAE chapter was founded by Mrin­may C Se­bas­tian in 2015 AND OFI­CIALLY IN­AU­GU­RATED By THE Global Pres­i­dent of IWS, Ata­nur Do­gan.

Since then wa­ter­color medium was pro­moted in this re­gion by ac­tiv­i­ties like Ex­hi­bi­tions, Plein Air, Free Ses­sions, Master classes, Demon­stra­tions, work­shops and Fes­ti­vals. The ex­hi­bi­tion will run till 10th Dec at Car­toon Art Gallery, Al Quoz.
