Which iconic hairstyles are your preferred ones?

I have two contrasting hairstyles that I am in love with. One is the Bridget Bardot style – soft messy elegance and long fringe that frames the face. Next is the classic 1920’s bob – the structured clean lines with precise edge. What I love about both these styles is the versatility they offer. You can play with the softness of Bardot style and create many hairstyles in the back keeping that frame on the face. The classic bob can be kept very chic and neat, plus you can do beautiful finger waves to give more elegance or make it modern with dishevelled waves and a blunt edge.

What are the trendiest styles in Hollywood today?

A blunt bob is everywhere in Hollywood right now, celebrities such as Kim Kardashian, Dua Lipa, Jennifer Lawrence and Bella Hadid have decided to chop off their locks (or rock a wig) for a cool edgy bob.

On what basis do you recommend hairstyles to your customers?

I like to get to know their personality; of course, I look at the shape of their face and hair type, but I also need to know that the client will be able to wear the style with confidence. I mainly assess what her needs are.

How do you handle it when a customer insists on a hairstyle you are sure will not suit her?

I would take a look at the haircut they want and see what we can be done to make it suit them – there is always a solution, and everyone needs a style unique to them.

What is the most sought after hair trend currently?

For sure it is the bob. It is such a versatile cut that suits most, you can wear it sleek and straight or wavy, so this makes it extremely low maintenance in terms of daily upkeep. The key to this style is to trim on a regular basis to keep those edges sharp and on point.
