In­dia’s rich­est man hires Bey­oncé to per­form at daugh­ter’s pre-wed­ding

Bey­oncé per­formed a con­cert at a wed­ding cel­e­bra­tion in In­dia af­ter be­ing hired by In­dia’s wealth­i­est man, Mukesh Am­bani.

The singer per­formed a pri­vate con­cert for the guests in Udaipur, Ra­jasthan, as part of the pre-wed­ding fes­tiv­i­ties.

Her set, which re­port­edly fea­tured sev­eral cos­tume changes, spanned hits, in­clud­ing Crazy in Love and Naughty Girl.

The con­cert was also at­tended by Hil­lary Clin­ton and new­ly­weds Nick Jonas and Priyanka Cho­pra. Bey­oncé posted a photo of her­self wear­ing an In­di­an­in­spired out­fit on In­sta­gram, with oth­ers shar­ing footage of her per­for­mance on Twit­ter.

It’s un­known how much Am­bani paid her to per­form. Mukesh’s daugh­ter Isha Am­bani’s mar­riage to child­hood friend Anand Pi­ra­mal took place at her fam­ily home in Mum­bai which is es­ti­mated to be the sec­ond most ex­pen­sive prop­erty in the world, be­hind Buck­ing­ham Palace.

Pi­ra­mal’s fa­ther, also a busi­ness tycoon, is ranked as the 24th wealth­i­est per­son in In­dia by Forbes.

The week-long cel­e­bra­tion has re­port­edly cost up to $100 mil­lion (Dh­s367m). Ac­cord­ing to Reuters, char­tered planes were hired to bring guests to the cer­e­mony with se­cu­rity beefed up in ad­vance.
