Amna Al Qubaisi has been se­lected to rep­re­sent the UAE for the GCC Young Driver Academy. The Emi­rati, 16, who re­cently reached the cham­pi­onship podium of the Se­nior class in the IAME X30 Chal­lenge Emirates, win­ning a ticket to the Grand Fi­nal at Le Mans, has also won class hon­ours in the UAE Ro­tax Max Chal­lenge this sea­son. She was se­lected by the UAE’s Au­to­mo­bile & Tour­ing Club of the UAE (ATCUAE) for driv­ers aged be­tween 15-21 years. The academy will be com­prises driv­ers nom­i­nated by the mo­tor­sport gov­ern­ing bod­ies of Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Ara­bia and UAE, and will run over four days in Bahrain (April 29-30) and the UAE (May 1-2). “I’m look­ing for­ward now to par­tic­i­pat­ing in the GCC Young Driver Academy and im­prove my skills, learn more and to be­come even more com­pet­i­tive, “she said. “Many thanks to ATCUAE for giv­ing me this great op­por­tu­nity.”
