BAYERN CLAIM BUNDESLIGA TITLE
Bayern Munich have clinched their fifth successive Bundesliga title thanks to a combination of their 6-0 victory at Wolfsburg and RB Leipzig failing to win. Secondplaced Leipzig had played out a goalless draw with Ingolstadt and that meant if Bayern were triumphant in yesterday’s late game in Germany they would take the title in Carlo Ancelotti’s first season in charge. It took them 19 minutes to take the lead as David Alaba found the net, and Robert Lewandowski scored twice before the interval to ensure the celebrations could begin early. Bayern did not let up in the second half and Arjen Robben added a fourth, before goals in the final 10 minutes from Thomas Muller and Joshua Kimmich completed the rout.
