A tourist's attempts to snap a selfie with a 16th century statue of a Portuguese king went badly awry. The man apparently toppled Dom Sebastiao's statue (pictured above before the incident) from its pedestal outside Lisbon's Rossio railway station. It follows numerous selfie injuries over the past few years, with Russia launching a public safety campaign warning people not to pose in unsafe areas.
