Global experts to talk to students

Talks are part of Majlis for Future Generation­s

ABU DHABI // Global experts in a variety of fields will share their experience­s with young people at the first Mohammed bin Zayed Majlis for Future Generation­s next week.

Alexis Ohanian, the technology entreprene­ur who cofounded the news and discussion website Reddit, said he was honoured to be among such an eminent group of speakers at the March 7 and 8 event.

“I am energised by the ambition of Emirati youth for themselves and for their country,” said Ohanian, who is also a bestsellin­g author.

“And I’m excited to share my experience­s as an entreprene­ur and investor with the hope of inspiring Emirati university students to chart their own path and make their mark on the future of the UAE.”

Other internatio­nal speakers include: Morinosuke Kawaguchi, a Japanese futurist and innovation expert who will discuss the values of Japanese society as a way of life; Heath Slawner, a strategic communicat­ions and leadership speaker who will talk about the impor- tance of bringing purpose to everything we do; and Myron Rolle, a former American National Football League player and Rhodes scholar, who will host a breakout session on leading a balanced life. Key themes will include entreprene­urship and innovation, community developmen­t and future skills for tomorrow’s economy, and speeches and discussion­s from some of the UAE’s most dynamic leaders.

The event will be held at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre.
