Mumford & Sons have been named as one of the acts to perform at this year’s Abu Dhabi Formula One race.

The British folk band will perform at the after-race concert series, which will be held at the du Arena from November 23 to 26.

They join Calvin Harris and Pink on the bill.

The Scottish DJ will kick off the concert festivities on November 23, while the American pop star has been tasked with the prestigious race day concert on November 26.

Access to the shows is only available for those purchasing tickets for the corresponding race day.

The line-up marks one of the most modern in Abu Dhabi F1 history.

Almost all of the artists head for the capital with new music to promote. Harris returns to Abu Dhabi having recently released his impressive collection Funk Wav Bounces Vol 1. As with his set at the Singapore F1 race, Harris will take the du Arena stage for a greatest hits performance that is backed by an eye-popping live show.

While Mumford & Sons’ last release was the live concert EP Johannesburg last year, the four piece have been hitting the road lately to warm up before entering the studio to work on their fourth album.

As for Pink, the UAE will be one of the first crowds to hear the new tracks from Beautiful Trauma, her seventh album which is scheduled for release on October 13. The sparse ballad and lead single, What About Us, has done the business and cracked the top 10 in the US.

The F1 concert announcements came after yesterday’s news that Creamfields will be returning to Abu Dhabi. The dance music festival has been put on ice after its 2014 edition which featured headliners Hardwell and Afrojack. The latest instalment will return on December 8. As yet, there is no news of headliner or venue.

To attend the four Yasalam After-Race Concert performances it is necessary to purchase a ticket for the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
