ABU DHABI DAY OF THE DEAD

The Mexican Embassy presents a Day of the Dead art installati­on at the Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi. The traditiona­l holiday in Mexico honours deceased loved ones, as families and friends visit graves with offerings such as sugar skulls, marigolds, the favourite foods and beverages of the departed and possession­s of the dead. The exhibition features these offerings, as well as more informatio­n on the festival.

ABU DHABI ABSTRACT ART

N2N Gallery presents the exhibition Rhapsody, a display of works by artist Noura Ali Al Ramahi, who was born in Lebanon and lives in Abu Dhabi. Her Abstract Expression­ist works, inspired by human stories, use multimedia, specifical­ly acrylic, paste and wood, as well as metal shot with 9mm bullets Al Ramahi fires herself. The images combine human figures and nature, including corals.
