Emirati designers to style Expo uniforms

Three Emirati design labels have been selected to create the uniforms for more than 30,000 Expo 2020 Dubai volunteers and team members after submitting designs combining the UAE’s heritage with cutting-edge styles. The shortlisted finalists are By Laha, Arshys, and Twisted Roots. The collections cover an ensemble of jackets, hats, bags, ties, scarves, kanduras, ghutras, abayas and shaylas. The concepts were judged by a panel, who made their choices based on representation of Emirati culture, practicality and sustainable elements. The three finalists each received Dh50,000.
