DMCC awards contract for ‘super tall’ tower
DMCC, a free zone authority and the developer of Jumeirah Lakes Towers, has awarded a contract to BESIX, through its Dubai entity Belhasa Six Construct, to build the first “super-tall” tower in its Uptown Dubai district. The 78-storey building is designed by Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill Architecture and will have a faceted glass facade inspired by the look of diamonds. “The quality on show from the bids received was incredibly high. This reflects the level of interest from the global marketplace to partner with DMCC, and be a part of an ambitious project that will add a new landmark to Dubai’s skyline,” said Ahmed Bin Sulayem, executive chairman of DMCC.
