UAE bowl out China for 14 in record new T20I low
China recorded the lowest ever women’s T20I total yesterday when they were bowled out for just 14 by the UAE in Bangkok. UAE elected to bat first in a Group B game at the Thailand Women’s T20 Smash – a 10-team tournament also featuring the likes of Nepal, Malaysia and Hong Kong – and put on 203 for 3, their highest T20I total. China’s reply lasted 48 minutes and 10 overs, and featured six ducks with a top score of four. The 189-run defeat was also a women’s T20Is record, pushing Namibia’s 179-run victory over Lesotho in August 2018 to second place.
