KOREA IN FOCUS
See the exhibition Korean Art, A Contemporary Take on Texture, on show at Opera Gallery. Works by 19 Korean artists highlight texture and each artist’s relationship with the mediums they use. The show covers traditional art forms, plus Korea’s Dansaekhwa movement of the 1970s and the Minjung Misol movement of the 1980s. Materials used include oil paint, ink, Hanji paper from the Korean mulberry tree and industrial items such as bicycle chains and steel nails. Pictured: An Aggregation by Bahk Seonghi
