Never felt better, says vegetarian Kohli
India captain Virat Kohli said turning vegetarian has been one of the best decisions he has made. Kohli has followed a strict diet and fitness regime over the last five years. His diet included grilled chicken, eggs, salmon, vegetables, seafood and red meat as recommended by the trainer. Last year, the Times of India reported that Kohli had turned vegetarian. Yesterday, Kohli tweeted about the Netflix documentary The Game
Changers, in which former UFC fighter James Wilks talks to elite athletes about the benefits of a vegan or vegetarian diet. In his tweet, Kohli said: “Saw The
Game Changers on Netflix. Being a vegetarian athlete has made me realise what I have believed all these years regarding diet was a myth. What an amazing documentary and yes I’ve never felt better in my life after I turned vegetarian.”

McIlroy says ‘all good’ between him and Koepka
Rory McIlroy says things are “all good” with Brooks Koepka – but the Northern Irishman does not need a reminder that he has not won a major in five years. World No 1 Koepka made headlines at the CJ Cup in South Korea last week after brushing aside the notion of a rivalry with second-ranked McIlroy. “What Brooks said wasn’t wrong,” McIlroy told GolfTV. McIlroy was responding after the American told AFP in an interview: “I’ve been out here for, what, five years. Rory hasn’t won a major since I’ve been on the PGA Tour. So I just don’t view it as a rivalry.” McIlroy’s response was eagerly awaited. When it came, it was measured. “He’s been the best player for a couple years, four majors. I don’t think he had to remind me I hadn’t won one in a while, but you know,” McIlroy said. “Brooks and I are good. We’re good friends.”

Prince Charles meets Welsh team in Tokyo
Britain’s Prince Charles met the Welsh rugby team ahead of their World Cup semi-final match against South Africa. The Prince of Wales, in Japan to attend an enthronement ceremony of the country’s new emperor, visited the training session in Tokyo yesterday. Wales assistant coach Neil Jenkins said: “For him to come along was brilliant, and
I am sure it will give the boys a lift … it was just a great honour for him to be there watching us.” Prince Charles’ son, William, is a royal patron to the Welsh Rugby Union. His other son, Harry, has a similar role with England’s Rugby Football Union. Prince Charles was one of the guests for the ceremony where Emperor Naruhito ascended the Chrysanthemum Throne to be proclaimed as Japan’s 126th emperor.
