Hanoi to help identify bodies inside UK lorry
Vietnam is trying to discover if any of its citizens were among the bodies discovered in the back of a lorry near London last week. Vietnam’s Deputy Foreign Minister Nguyen Quoc Cuong said yesterday that his government was working with the UK to speed up the identification process but that he did not know when the work would be completed. On Monday, British police sent documents regarding four of the bodies found in the lorry to Hanoi for further verification. On the same day, a UK court heard that a global trafficking ring was involved in smuggling the group. The lorry’s driver, Maurice Robinson, 25, has been charged with manslaughter and people trafficking.
