The National - News - - NEWS WORLD -

Bolivian President Evo Morales said yesterday he would call for new elections after the Organisation of American States released a report saying a disputed October 20 vote should be annulled because of irregularities. The long-standing leader of the South American nation also said he would replace the members of the country’s electoral board, which came under fire after the election, won by Mr Morales, was mired in widespread allegations of electoral fraud. Police joined anti-government protests at the weekend as the military said it would not “confront the people”.
