Max Mosley, former F1 chief, dies aged 81
Former Formula 1 chief Britain’s Max Mosley, who waged a campaign for media restrictions, has died aged 81. He was once one of the biggest figures in Grand Prix racing and threw his weight behind press restrictions after a News of the World story printed allegations about his private life in 2008. After a lengthy court case, he helped set up Impress, a media watchdog. His father, Sir Oswald Mosley, was a Second World War-era fascist leader and a sympathiser of Adolf Hitler. Max Mosley was president of Formula One and other international motorsports.
