Spending Eid week in the UAE? Make the most of the break with spectacular firework displays and cultural activities
On Eid Al Fitr, the UAE has a number of celebrations planned, including dining deals and free entry to special attractions as well as live concerts and dance performances.
Also among the festivities will be plenty of free firework displays to enjoy throughout the Emirates.
Here’s a look at where to go to celebrate.
Eid fireworks in Abu Dhabi Yas Island
Yas Bay will have fireworks over the first three days of
Eid Al Fitr, starting at 9pm. In addition to the light show, there will be a line-up of Eid concerts at Etihad Arena that include Amr Diab tomorrow and Sherine Abdel-Wahab and Kadim Al Sahir on Wednesday. On Friday, Maroon 5 will also take to the stage for a live show, including performances of hits such as Girls Like You and Beautiful Mistakes.
Eid fireworks in Dubai The Pointe
Visit The Pointe on Palm Jumeirah to see a dazzling fountain show and a firework display, all taking place today at 9pm.
A new Burj Khalifa light show and Dubai Fountain show will take place over the Eid holiday
Bluewaters Island
Home to Ain Dubai, the world’s largest observation wheel, Bluewaters Island will have a firework display on the second day of Eid Al Fitr at 9pm.
Dubai Festival City Mall
Festival Bay at Dubai Festival City Mall will host a spectacular three-minute firework display tomorrow at 9pm. It will take place alongside Imagine, the venue’s colourful light, laser and sound show. There
will also be a ticketed concert by Nassif Zeytoun and Rahma Riad.
Burj Khalifa
A new Burj Khalifa light show and Dubai Fountain show will take place over the Eid holiday. The displays will include choreography and LED lighting that will illuminate the Downtown Dubai skyline. See them at 8pm throughout the holiday.
Global Village
The family favourite will have a firework display that will light up the sky every night over the
Eid holiday from 9pm. The attraction is open from 5pm to 2am, until it closes its doors for the season on Saturday.
Cultural performances around the UAE
Catch live musical performances at Al Qasba and Al Majaz Waterfront in Sharjah, as well as Khor Fakkan Beach, from 5.30pm throughout the holiday. The free performances will include Liwa and Al Ayyala dance.
In Abu Dhabi, Qasr Al Watan will show the The Palace in Motion light show to mark the first day of Eid. The show transforms the exterior of the Palace with an audiovisual story of the UAE’s past, present and future.
Free entry to UAE attractions
Across the Emirates, cultural attractions are offering free entry to visitors, including Mleiha Archaeological Centre in Sharjah, Al Ain Palace and Al Ain Oasis, plus Al Jahili Fort, Qasr Al Muwaiji, Bait Mohammed bin Khalifa and Al Qattara Arts Centre in Al Ain.
