Abu Dhabi university to attract the best with 100 scholarships
Mohamed bin Zayed University for Humanities has announced that it is awarding full scholarships to 100 students for the coming academic year – including to some of the country’s brightest secondary school pupils.
These scholarships will be open to both domestic and international applicants and will be available across a range of subjects at the Abu Dhabi campus.
The announcement was made as the university continues to attract more students as part of its expansion plans.
Some of the most popular courses at the university include Islamic studies, Arabic language, philosophy and humanities.
The university also announced that prospective students can now register online for its bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees for the coming academic year.
Dr Khaled Al Dhaheri, president of Mohamed bin Zayed University for Humanities, said grants and financial rewards would be offered to a number of new students, based on their academic grades.
The Mohamed bin Zayed University for Humanities was established in 2020, with a focus on specialising in social studies, humanities and philosophy.
Last November, it hosted the Renewing Religious Discourse conference, a two-day event addressing fraternity, tolerance and co-existence.
Scholars and experts from around the globe attended the academic conference, where discussions focused on renewing religious discourse, principles of moderation and equality.
The academics also discussed promoting the values of human fraternity, tolerance and co-existence that the UAE adopts.
