‘Anarchists’ blamed for arson at pro-life centre

The office of a conservative anti-abortion group in the US state of Wisconsin has been set on fire, police said, days after it emerged that the country’s Supreme Court was poised to reverse a milestone decision ensuring abortion rights nationwide. Graffiti reading “if abortions aren’t safe, then you aren’t either”, was found, the Wisconsin Family Action’s office said, blaming a “leftist anarchist group” for the attack. Police said they were investigating the Sunday morning fire as arson and that the blaze was quickly put out by the fire department. The police said a petrol bomb had been thrown inside the building but had not ignited. “It appears a separate fire was started in response,” they said.
