Six killed in Pakistan suicide bombing
Three children and three soldiers were killed in a suicide bombing in northwest Pakistan, officials said yesterday. The suicide bomber triggered his explosivesladen vest near a vehicle that was on security patrol in a village near the town of Mir Ali in North Waziristan, near the Afghan border, the military said in a statement. The attack killed two soldiers in the vehicle on the spot and wounded another. Three children playing alongside the road were critically wounded. None survived, the statement said. There was no claim of responsibility for the attack. The tribal region has been a haven for local and foreign militants for years.
