TThings are hotting up in Abu Dhabi, just as the weather seems to be finally cooling down.
September is when the city’s autumn and winter calendar kicks off – this month you can watch an orchestra play the soundtrack to the first Harry Potter film while you watch it on the big screen on Yas Island. October sees the legendary stunt crew Nitro Circus return to the capital, and November, of course, is all about F1 weekend.
And that’s just three things happening – there are plenty more, one of them being the return of that UAE institution, the brunch. You’ll find our recommendations in this issue starting on p16. And if you end up eating at too many of them, you can work off those calories at Get Driver Fit, a series of fitness classes taking place in the emirate this month. Best of all? They’re free.
One way to beat the heat is, of course, to jump into a pool, and this issue we’ve also rounded up the best pool and beach parties taking place in the capital.
September also sees the first Oktoberfest celebrations taking place on Yas Island, and there’s new exhibitions at Abu Dhabi Art Hub and, more importantly, the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque.
Enjoy the issue.
