TThe Holy Month of Ramadan used to be a quiet time of year in Abu Dhabi, but that’s really not the case anymore. As well as all the iftars and suhoors in the capital (there seem to be so many more this time round), there’s a ton of events taking place once the sun goes down, including pop-up markets and exhibitions. It really is a special time of year in the emirate.
Eid, of course, takes place in the middle of this month, and if you’re thinking of jetting off on a holiday during the long weekend, you’ll want to check out our guide on p12. We also have advice for parents whose kids are staying in the capital this summer, plus we’ve eaten a lot of pizza, all in the name of journalism.
Finally, Ramadan is a time of giving, and we’re in a giving mood this month as well – we have 39 prizes up for grabs to celebrate this magazine turning 39 years old (and the countdown for next year’s big 40th celebration starts here!). Check them out on p26 and then head to our website to enter.
Enjoy the issue and Eid mubarak.
