Grand Slam champions Novak Djokovic and Venus Williams are coming to Abu Dhabi

Next year, 7,000 athletes from more than 170 countries are expected to participate across 24 sports at the Special Olympics, as the event comes to the Middle East for the first time in its history.

The sporting spectacle encourages people with intellectual disabilities to play alongside each other, develop physical fitness and make friends.

To assist, volunteers have to be at least 14 years old and commit to a minimum of four shifts during the games. Volunteers will also be required to attend 16 hours of training ahead of the games.

Volunteering opportunities exist across events, guest services, communications and language services. March 14 to 21, 2019
