Adonis Creed (Michael B Jordan), aka the millennial Rocky, returns to the ring – but this time he faces off against Viktor (Florian Munteanu), son of Russian fighter Ivan Drago (Dolph Lundgren). As fans of the boxing saga recall, Ivan killed Adonis’ father Apollo Creed in Rocky IV. Even though this storyline makes sense, we were afraid this franchise was just beating itself into a Rocky-rehash. We were dead wrong – this sequel comes out swinging. Michael B Jordan serves up another TKO performance, worthy of a few manly-sized tears.
