THE FOOD
At its heart, Taste of Abu Dhabi is all about trying as many dishes as is humanly possible. And for the fifth edition of the event, back in larger quarters at Du Arena on Yas Island, there will be plenty. For the first time, visitors can shop at a Local Harvest Farmers’ Market and enter a world of all things sweet and spongy at the Big Baking Tent. There will also be cooking challenges from Al Ain Farms and Kibsons. As for what you can eat? This year offers 48 signature dishes from local restaurants, including award-winning Italian from Roberto’s in the Rosewood on Al Maryah Island; fresh and healthy concoctions straight from California and Afghanistan by Nolu’s, Peruvian fare from Coya in the Four Seasons Hotel and Chinese from Dai Pang Dong in the Rosewood Abu Dhabi. There will even be a special pop-up with cinema dishes from Gary Rhodes’ Theatre by Rhodes.
