Local Harvest, the retail brand of the Abu Dhabi Farmer’s Service Centre, has partnered with Taste of Abu Dhabi this year to offer a farmer’s market, where local operators will be on hand selling vegetables, fruit, meat and eggs and sharing information about their operations.

It’s all part of the centre’s efforts to educate the public about all the fresh, safe local produce that is grown at farms located right in Abu Dhabi, says Dhafer Rashed Al Qasemi, the commercial and operations director.

“We are opening up new marketing channels for local farmers including our own retail brand, Local Harvest,” he explains, “so the people of Abu Dhabi have the opportunity to taste local vegetables within 24 hours of being harvested, assuring freshness and locking in vital nutrients.”
