Bumblebee was always one of our favourite Transformers. He’s far more approachable than Optimus Prime and a lot more fun than Ironhide (a Nissan Vanette was never a cool ride). This origin story takes us back to the Autobot’s arrival in the late ‘80s, where he forms a bond with Charlie (Hailee Steinfeld) before the inevitable arrival of the authorities, as well as our favourite Decepticons, jet Starscream and cassette tape/panther Ravage. But Hailee channels too much of her BFF Taylor Swift circa 2006 for this actioner to truly hit the mark.
