Conrad Spa introduces Amra Skincare products to its luxury treatments Nice to be kneaded

There are a number of perks that come with living in a city that sometimes feels like a resort. Our favourite? The amazing selection of world-class spas, tucked away in our fine hotels. Often topping the list is Conrad Spa, located inside the mighty Etihad Towers. This month, the spa has introduced Amra skincare products to its treatments, which is a luxury British skincare brand formulated with the world’s most precious ingredients. A perfect unison if ever we heard of one. We head inside for a couple’s massage to check it out.

Greeted enthusiastically by the charming receptionist, we’re instantly taken by the chic welcome area and the cosy and intimate ambiance.

We’re here to try the Pearl AFR massage (Dhs745 for 60 minutes; Dhs915 for 90 minutes), created to detoxify, purify and protect, and the Amra for Men Meteorite massage (Dhs745 for 60 minutes; Dhs915 for 90 minutes).

Delivered in one of the private couple’s treatment rooms, our therapists lead us through a quick consultation process before selecting Amra oils that specifically suit our needs.

Lying on soft and gently heated beds, each step of the experience is blissful.

The body oil smells incredible, the therapists are attentive and the finishing body mist leaves our skin feeling soft and supple. A head massage featuring sun-protective hair oil completes the topto-toe pampering process perfectly and, by the end, we’re feeling so content it’s a challenge not to fall asleep.

Every inch of our body feels relaxed, we smell more delicious than ever, and the post-treatment ginger tea and dates, enjoyed from the warm embrace of our massage beds, really is the icing on the cake.

After leaving the oil to sink in for the rest of the day, we can feel the revitalising benefits in our skin, muscles and hair throughout the rest of the week. Ideal for tired bodies and weary minds, an Amra massage at Conrad Spa is an experience to be savoured.
