Jon’s father, an ex-Marine, is a hairdresser and would buzz-cut his hair. American reporter Susan Orlean declares Jon’s 14-inch-plus hair as the best in the business in a Rolling Stone interview, after describing it as “an aura of shiny fuzz” that “flares around his face like a nimbus, a halo”. CNN reports on Jon Bon Jovi’s haircut. The rocker says, “I never anticipated the attention it received, both good and bad. I had no idea anyone would care or notice, to be honest with you. It was not a case of Samson and Delilah here, I didn’t lose my strength or nothing when I cut my hair.” While guest starring on the TV show Ally McBeal, Calista Flockhart says of his trademark feathery hair, “Each hair must have its own stylist.” Jon debuts his almost completely grey hair at a charity event in Philadelphia.
