Need a break from chin-stroking tech-house but want to avoid cheesy dance music at all costs? Then new night Karak Beats – from “a group of guys who don’t take themselves too seriously” – could be right up your street.

It’s a weekly Thursday party run by the newly formed 264 Cru – a collective of Dubai-based DJs from different corners of the globe with eclectic tastes in music. With residents Aeli, Datdatdat, DJ MoCity, Essari, Finlay Lefox and Kev Fresh on rotation, the tunes will range from “underground hip hop to electronica, experimental beats to house, bass to trap and everything in-between”.
