How flexible do you feel generally? No matter how often you practise yoga (if, ahem, at all), you won’t have felt as dexterous and sprightly as you will after a Thai massage at Nysa. This 55-minute, fully customisable session in the new – and immaculate – Nysa spa at Hyatt Regency Dubai Creek Heights is a direct contrast to the usual easy-does-it massages found in most spas. This one uses Thai deep massage techniques, which involves twisting your body into pretzel shapes and cracking toes. While there is a smidgen of ouch involved, it doesn’t become uncomfortable and is just enough to keep you from drifting off to sleep. Instead, after an hour of stretching inside a Nysa treatment room, we felt energised, loose and able to touch our toes.
