Tomorrowland in Dubai
Experience a Belgian festival at Dubai Festival City
The new clubbing season gets off to a blazing start this month with another first for Dubai – Unite With Tomorrowland.
The gig is an offshoot of the worldfamous EDM show Tomorrowland (founded in 2005), which plays host to more than 180,000 audience members in Belgium every year.
French DJ and record producer Martin Solveig headlines the 11-hour indoor rave at the new 8,000 capacity indoor venue Dubai Festival City Arena, while a live stream to the parent Tomorrowland festival in Belgium transports clubbers into the sets of Armin van Buuren, KSHMR and Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike. In-demand Polish DJ and producer Tom Swoon, who recently released his Helter Skelter track on Spinnin’ Records, is amongst the international artists flying into the UAE for the event, along with Holland’s Franky Rizardo, who last month hosted his own Flow stage at Belgium’s spectacular Extrema Outdoor festival.
With their Full Circle track signed to Toolroom Records’ Miami Poolside compilation earlier this year and a gig last month at Ibiza’s legendary Café del Mar, Dubai-based electronic duo Arcade 82 will also be performing at Unite With Tomorrowland’s UAE debut. Arcade 82’s Mark Pickup said they were “counting down the weeks until we get on that stage”.
As the party rages in Dubai from 2pm until 3am, similar Unite With Tomorrowland events will also be taking place around the world including in Malta, South Korea, Germany, Taiwan and Spain.
