Samãna Spa places a focus on aromatherapy

Looking to escape the hustle and bustle of Dubai life? Samãna Spa is the latest addition to Desert Palm Dubai, a resort on the outskirts of the city. Samãna means calming in Sanskrit, and the treatments place an emphasis on aromatherapy. It’s home to a unique apothecary-style homeopathic aromatherapy bar by Tisserand, an award-winning UK brand that has been making organic essential oils since the 1970s.

On offer is a variety of services, from massages and facials to day-long sessions. Treatments start from Dhs325, with retreat journeys including complimentary access to the full spa facilities as well as a massage and facial, starting from Dhs650.

The spa is located within the main house of the resort’s polo estate and has six spacious treatment rooms including a couple’s room, steam room, sauna, ice room, cold plunge pool, heated beds and chrome therapeutic showers.

What’s On tried the Citrus C Deep Cleansing Facial (Dhs490), a 75-minute intense skin workout that deeply cleansing pores using Vitamin C from fresh grapefruit and limes. Designed to keep skin soft and prevent breakouts, it’s a combination of a cleansing exfoliation and repetitive rehydration, to help skin feel silky smooth.
