New tropical junglethemed party spot opens in Pier 7

Out with O Cacti, and in with Mama Zonia. The new Amazon rainforestthemed restaurant and lounge serving Latin American cuisine has opened on the second floor of Pier 7, hoping to fair better than its predecessor.

The decor is pretty wow-worthy, with a huge Mango tree draping over the entrance, as well as tropical wallpaper and sprawling flora.

On the menu, you’ll find dishes designed to share such as prime beef short ribs and yuzu ponzu – a watermelon creation topped with avocado sauce and puffed quinoa, all served up to the sounds of live tribal drummers.

The venue has already launched a weekday business lunch, gents’ night every Monday and a ladies’ night every Tuesday. Check out our review next month.
