What's On (Dubai)

THIS ISSUE HAS MORE HITS THAN PHANTOM…

-

If like me, you’re a musical nerd, this headline will probably mean something to you. For the rest of you, it may not. Phantom Of The Opera, you see, is one of most successful musicals of all time. Impressively, it’s also the longest running show in Broadway history, amassing over 70 major theatre awards.

Phantom at Dubai Opera is just one thing you should probably know about this year, but might not. Like: which exclusive members-only club is opening in DIFC, where Dubai’s massive arena will be located, and where to find the world’s biggest night market. If you’re drawing a blank, turn to page 22 now where you’ll find answers to questions you’d never thought to ask (like, what is meat fruit, and where can I try it?).

This is an issue full of surprises. We discover why George Ezra loves Budapest (p38), how to get involved in a round-the-world-race (p70) and why Finland should be on your 2019 bucket list (p75).

We also hunt down the coolest arthouse cafes (p62), and try Gordon Ramsay’s newest restaurant in Dubai (p43). Since it’s skint season, we’ve also teamed up with some of the best hotels and spas for some lovely 2-for-1 deals (p30), including a brilliant family voucher to the Museum Of Illusions, which incidentally, was originally launched in Croatia before expanding around the world.

Really, who knew? Enjoy the issue.
