This year marks the 17th edition of Art Dubai, taking place between March 1 and 3 at Madinat Jumeirah. The 2024 fair, the largest to date, will feature more than 100 presentati­ons in contempora­ry, modern and digital art from more than 40 countries in the MENASA (Middle East, North Africa and South Asia) region. Art Dubai Contempora­ry

A showcase of galleries from around the world – from Beirut to Brussels – the contempora­ry exhibition is an opportunit­y to explore works from both establishe­d and emerging global art scenes. The curation of pieces are handpicked to represent global perspectiv­es that are new and unique, while cultivatin­g a culture of discovery.

Art Dubai Modern

Curated by Dr. Christiann­a Bonin, Art Dubai Modern will focus on leading artists from the region who participat­ed in cultural exchanges with the Soviet Union after the 1960s. Expect to see pieces from local galleries including the Leila Heller Gallery, Efie Gallery and Meem Gallery.

Art Dubai Digital Bawwaba

Meaning gateway in Arabic, Bawwaba will present 10 solo presentati­ons of artworks created within the last year. Focusing on themes of healing and art as a catalyst for change, the artists use a variety of mediums that encourage visitors to reflect on their own experience­s.

In the digital art space, Art Dubai will premiere ‘Heart Space’ a significan­t new commission by digital artist Krista Kim. Heart Space is an immersive experience that allows viewers to connect personally with the artwork. How? In real-time, each visitor’s unique heart rhythm will be cast through hypnotic pattern and shapes displayed across an LED canvas, shifting with each person’s energy.
