SWEET AND STICKY CHICKEN WINGS
INGREDIENTS
• 1 kg chicken wings • ½ cup ( 125 ml) of smokey or any other BBQ sauce
• ½ cup ( 125 ml) tomato ketchup • ½ tsp ground garlic • 1 heaped tsp paprika • A sprinkle of black pepper • 1 tbsp honey
For the stuffing: • 100 gm grated Akawi cheese • 300 gm grated mozzarella • 50 gm grated halloumi cheese • 50 gm dry zaatar with olive oil
METHOD
Mix all the ingredients together, and marinate the wings for a few hours or overnight.
Preheat the oven to 200° C. Remove the chicken from the marinade and place on a tray. Keep the remaining marinade aside.
Cover with foil and place into the preheated oven till 3/ 4th cooked which should take approximately 20 minutes. Remove the tray and place onto a heatproof surface. Baste the wings with a brush using the remaining marinade, taking extra care not to touch the sides of the hot pan.
Put the tray onto the grill in the oven, uncovered, and cook for a further 5 minutes or till the chicken is cooked and nicely glazed.
Serve with homemade ranch sauce or extra BBQ sauce.
