They want to ig­nore ev­ery at­tempt the per­son makes to con­nect with them on­line and in per­son. I have heard peo­ple who ghost oth­ers say, ‘ It’s eas­ier than try­ing to have a long con­ver­sa­tion about why this re­la­tion­ship isn’t work­ing any­more’, ‘ I don’t want to deal with the back and forth or have to ex­plain my­self’ and ‘ I don’t want to deal with them try­ing to con­vince me to get back to­gether/ rec­on­cile’.”
