Is this aero system worth the added spend?

Profile Design’s FC35 comes in two sizes, with this larger one holding a whopping 1,035ml of liquid (or 35oz, hence the name FC35). Having tested the smaller version, our position on its shortfalls are unchanged. While a great idea, the nutrition box at the rear only has two crossed rubber bands to secure what’s inside it, and things can go flying when you’re down to your last gel or you hit some rough road. It’s a flaw that we’d like to see fixed in future iterations. There’s a bar across the front for a GPS mount and, using small bands, it’ll hold your device fairly well right in your line of sight. Secure locking clips are used instead of Velcro to attach the FC35 to your aerobars, with a range adjustment of 70140mm centre to centre. The benefits include its aerodynamic shape, and it’s kept well shielded from the wind between your arms. The straw has a self-locking valve that’s easy to drink from, and there’s a handy clip to store it horizontally so – unlike the XLab – it’s not flapping in the wind when not in use. The filling port is huge, making it quick to refill by sticking a bottle straight in, and it’s easy to clean. JS madi
