Pick the right seat
Selecting the right saddle is key to comfort. If you’re moving around and can’t get comfortable it’s a sign the saddle and position is not set up correctly. Head to your nearest bike store for more advice.
Track your sleep
It’s the area we neglect the most, so it’s worth tracking how many hours you get. Start writing down the hours you sleep and see if you can see any trends. More recovery equals better sessions.
Monitor coffee intake
Caffeine is a great way to boost performance, but if you drink too much it can negatively affect your sleep as well as training. Around 400mg (approx. 4 cups) is the recommended daily allowance.
