TACKLE 70.3 WEYMOUTH

-

Pre-race shivers wreak havoc with energy supplies and your resolve. Stay wrapped up for as long as possible until the starting horn, and longer if it’s a rolling start.

It can be hard to eat sufficiently when you’re on the move with chilly hands, so open energy bar packets before you start.

You can cool yourself down if needed but it’s a lot harder to warm up, so pack kit for all weathers, you don’t have to use everything in your transition bag on the day, but it’s good to prepare.

The race briefing and registration take place in a different location to the bike racking so give yourself plenty of time to do both.

Ensure your race weekend accommodation is sorted in plenty of time.Weymouth is a popular event, so the whole town gets booked out far in advance.
