Unveiling the latest trademark aero helmet design from the Swedish innovators, Poc
Pioneering Swedes Poc proclaim the Ventral Spin as their most advanced aero helmet yet, a strong claim indeed given their previous lids have included the groundbreaking and award-winning Tempor and Octal.
The Ventral Spin has been designed using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) testing in a bid to source aerodynamic gains. The ventilation and air flow design, meanwhile, seeks inspiration from the Venturi Effect, which is the reduction in air pressure when a fluid flows through a constricted section (in this case, the 13 ventilation channels). Elsewhere, there’s POC’s patent-pending silicone pad technology system named Spin, an EPS liner to enhance crash protection, a unibody shell construction and Poc’s 360° fit retention system.
